HOW TO USE THE WEBWORKTRAVEL GUIDE

The Webworktravel Guide is not an alternative to a traditional travel guide – it’s designed to be used along side one.  Its aim is to provide you with a detailed overview of the best low-budget work and travel destinations in the world, and much more besides.

Here are 9 steps on how to use the Guide:[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][mk_padding_divider size=”50″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][mk_image heading_title=”PREPARE YOUR TRIP” src=”https://www.webworktravel.com/wp-content/uploads/cape-town.png” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” caption_location=”inside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″][mk_dropcaps style=”simple-style”]1[/mk_dropcaps]Trip preparation before a work and travel trip is very different to a usual backpacking trip. You will need to bring different travel gear, but also prepare and convince your clients to stay with you on your trip. You will also need solutions for getting paid while you travel and a range of different tools to enable collaboration with your clients. The Webworktravel Guide tells you exactly what you need to do before you start your journey.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][mk_image heading_title=”UNKNOWN DESTINATIONS” src=”https://www.webworktravel.com/wp-content/uploads/islands.png” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” caption_location=”inside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″][mk_dropcaps style=”simple-style”]2[/mk_dropcaps]The Webworktravel Guide features many amazing destinations you probably never heard about. Sure, places like Bali, Cape Town and Chiang Mai might ring a bell, but there are many more places that would make the perfect office destination. These could be small villages in the mountains of Indonesia or paradise Islands in Panama – you would usually only find out about those kind of places when you are nearby. This guide includes the best from around the world![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][mk_image heading_title=”COWORKING & WI-FI CAFÉS” src=”https://www.webworktravel.com/wp-content/uploads/Avoid-mistakes.png” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” caption_location=”inside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″][mk_dropcaps style=”simple-style”]3[/mk_dropcaps]Working online while travelling is not about running your office from the the hammock, even though it does makes a great picture. However there are way more exciting destinations to visit these days. Have you ever considered to visit the Philippines, Colombia or Tanzania? The guide will tell you why you should visit them now![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][mk_image heading_title=”PLAN YOUR ADVENTURES” src=”https://www.webworktravel.com/wp-content/uploads/Choose-your-adventure.png” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” caption_location=”inside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″][mk_dropcaps style=”simple-style”]6[/mk_dropcaps]Traveling can become stressful and exhausting after a while. [/vc_column_text][vc_accordions style=”fancy-style” action_style=”accordion-action” open_toggle=”c” container_bg_color=”#fff”][vc_accordion_tab title=”What destinations are featured in the Guide”]The Webworktravel guide includes a lot of popular destinations from around the world, but it also includes more niche locations and activity advice on places that are overlooked in traditional guidebooks. In fact I found that some the best experiences I had on my travels were on my trips to unique up-and-coming destinations that are still extremely cheap and free of tourist scams. Go there before they turn into mass tourist destinations like Phuket in Thailand did and you will have a way better time, meet more friendly people and are less likely to fall into the tourist trap.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What’s the point of working all the time when you travel?”]The objective of a work and travel trip should not be to work all the time. For that reason you should visit countries that have a lower cost of living so you have to work less to cover your needs and have more free time to enjoy your environment. In order to stay productive you should travel slower than a usual backpacker and only select few destinations per trip, then use those destinations to learn something new thing or practice sports you are unlikely to do in your home town. Learn more about it here.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Would you recommend the work & travel lifestyle for anyone?”]The objective of a work and travel trip should not be to work all the time. Learn more about it here.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”You say that I can live in most destinations for $ 1000 a month. What’s included in this amount?”]The minimum budget is a suggestion of the minimum monthly funds you should have available in order to stay on location. It includes basic living in shared apartments or long-term rates in hostels, 70 meals and enough pocket money for three day-trips and the odd night out.  In fact some destinations are included where you can have all of that for only $450 a month, while other destinations are included where you should bring at least $1200 to cover the same costs. Naturally you will end up spending a bit more than the suggested amount in each destination if you do not want to live on a complete budget. If you calculate with about $1000 a month you can have an awesome time in most places mentioned in the guide though!

Things that are not included in the minimum budget: Car rentals (useful in locations such as Cape Town), excessive partying and the use of cabs instead of local transport. Also remember that accommodation prices can change in peak season. That’s why in some destinations it’s good to arrive a little bit earlier and sort out accommodation before peak season starts.
